This Event turned out Super Dope! DJ WreckinEyez, Alien and Dres The Beatnik Did their thing, they kept the crowd movin all night. GREAT showmanship… Special Guest Appearances by Joe Scudda and Big Pooh of Lil Brother also made the night worth wild….. VERY DOPE EVENT…

Brooklynite Mos Def proves once again his musical versatility as he teams up with the virtually created concept band Gorillaz and Chicago-based Hypnotic Brass Ensemble “Sweepstakes”. Off the upcoming Gorillaz offering “Plastic Beach” this banging track is obviously not a conventional rap tune but it has creative potential to satisfy your ears nonetheless. British newspaper The Guardian presented the whole album in its full glory as a stream today. You can check it out here. “Plastic Beach” is supposed to drop March 8th in the UK and March 9th in the USA.

NMC’s first lady Miss Info got the scoop:
Shyne has signed a seven-figure deal with Def Jam, ending a bidding war that included Dr. Dre/Jimmy Iovine. The plan is to have Shyne work out of London.
She also reports that Shyne has been working with Kyambo “Hip-Hop” Joshua for a while now. (Joshua and his HipHopSince1978 partners, Gee Roberson, also manage Lil Wayne, Drake, Young Jeezy, etc.)
…and about that DJ Khaled track, he didn’t mean for that to be his first loo

So the mad mind behind “Day N Nite” let loose this track in CDQ originally found on CuDi’s demo and known as “Be” to promote his newly-launched website, HeadBanga Muzik. Check out that site to read about the history of the song.

Another one for the Budden/Cardim collection. Unlike the previous warm-up leaks, this one actually was meant for his third LP, The Great Escape, but it’s being leaked now due to clearance issues.
Expect more collabs from the two on TGE & J. Cardim’s Dice Music: The In Crowd.
Tony Billz produces yet another reference video…this time, with a Drake and Nipsey Hu$$le collaboration. Not only does he create dope visuals to add to ‘Killer’, but also notice his original artistic interpretation of the song. We were informed that this will be his last cover video produced, so enjoy!
Here’s the file from Kanye laying his verse with the T-Pain’s girl group, Sophia Fresh. His second verse is mostly mumbling though, because it wasn’t finished. *Kanye shrug*

Props to Kenewest on the find. Listen to the final version below:
Via Hypebeast: American poet, musician and dignified revolutionary: Gil Scott-Heron releases a new single along with a visual entitled, Me and The Devil. Best known for his lyrical content in variations of social and political issues during his time, his works have had major influence towards the creation of genres such as Hip Hop and Neo-Soul. His most distinguished piece of work was his 1971 Poem entitled, “The revolution will not be televised” – I’m sure we’ve all heard that quote before, and it originates from this gentleman. His upcoming album has a tentative release date of February 9th.
Fake Shore Drive got yet another leak from an anonymous source. I don’t know what that means for Mikkey, but Andrew has it that he’s supposed to be dropping a mixtape soon – which is reassuring, both because his music is getting out somehow, but also for his fans.
